English, representing Kit Carson County Cattlewomen, receives a check from Joe Stratton, CEO at Kit Carson County Health Service District. The $4,979 donation was proceeds from the 2011 Breast Cancer Awareness Walk. The donation will go towards the Cattlewomen’s Pink Chaps fun, which aids victims of cancer in Kit Carson County. |

KCCHSD presented Economic Development/Chamber of Commerce an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for use at Old Town. An AED is a small portable device that analyzes the heart’s rhythms and prompts the user to deliver a defibrillation shock if it determines one is needed. The AED was sponsored through a grant received by the district.
