Kit Carson County Health Service District is comprised of the Kit Carson County Memorial Hospital in Burlington, Colorado. The hospital is a 19 bed Critical Access Hospital with an active Swing Bed program as well as acute care and a 24 hour Emergency Room, classified as a Trauma Level IV facility.
 
We are open 24 hours a day for Emergency Room care.
Please check in at the Nurse's Station between the hours of  5:30 p.m. & 7:30 a.m. to see your loved one.

As a special memorial to World War II veterans, efforts of farmers with the Ten Acre Club and Burlington Rotary raised money to start the foundation of Kit Carson County Memorial Hospital. Other clubs helped purchase much needed medical equipment allowing completion of the hospital without one dime of goverment assistance.

The 1st Annual Burlington Trauma Conference is designed to emphasize the latest techniques in trauma care and emergency medicine, as well as the team approach to care of the injured patient.  The conference provides an excellent educational opportunity for those whose expertise and interest lie in the area of trauma and emergency medicine: physicians, nurses, and pre-hospital personnel.
