Join us for a Special One-Day Event!

Kit Carson County Memorial Hospital (KCCMH), in partnership with KCC Public Health, is excited to host a Health & Wellness Day. This event offers a variety of free or low-cost health screenings to help you take charge of your health.

No Appointment Needed | Free Event

Screenings Available:

Blood Tests (free)
Receive essential health information such as blood pressure, cholesterol, and glucose levels.
Bone Density Scans (free)
Free DXA scans to check for conditions like osteoporosis and osteopenia, recommended for patients aged 60+.
Balance Screening (free)
Assess your physical stability and prevent future falls.
ECG (Electrocardiograms) (free)
Free screenings to monitor heart health.

Blood Draw Screenings:

Men’s Health Panel
Provides baseline information on cholesterol, blood glucose, liver function, kidney function, TSH, and PSA levels.
Women’s Health Panel
Provides baseline information on cholesterol, blood glucose, liver function, kidney function, and TSH levels.

Note: You must fast for 12 hours before your blood draw appointment. (No food or drinks containing sugar or cream. Drink plenty of water and continue regular medications. Diabetics are not required to fast.)

Medical Imaging Screenings:

DXA Scan (Bone Density Test)
A quick test to check bone health, screening for osteoporosis and other bone conditions.
Aortic Aneurysm Screening (AAA Ultrasound)
An abdominal ultrasound that checks for aneurysms. Recommended for men aged 65-75 who have ever smoked.

Preparation for Imaging Screenings: Fast for 8 hours and bring a list of your medications. (Limited number of screenings available; first come, first served.)
