Austin Reed, DNP, CRNA, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role as a certified registered nurse anesthetist. Graduating with a Doctorate of Nurse Anesthesia Practice from Virginia Commonwealth University, he achieved the title of Summa Cum Laude. Throughout his clinical experience, Austin accumulated over 2,370 anesthesia hours and performed a diverse range of over 800 cases, showcasing his dedication and proficiency in the field.

Before embarking on his anesthesia journey, Austin obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Colorado Mesa University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. During his time as a registered nurse at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, he honed his skills in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, focusing on patient-centered care and evidence-based practice. His hands-on experience included assisting with various procedures such as rapid sequence intubations, coronary artery bypass grafts, and valve replacements.

In addition to his clinical expertise, Austin is deeply committed to community service and professional development. He has actively participated in initiatives such as Joining Hands to Shock the City, coordinating efforts to provide automated external defibrillators to rural communities. Austin’s memberships in organizations like the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiologists and his involvement in Sigma Theta Tau exemplify his dedication to advancing healthcare. With a comprehensive background in critical care, anesthesia, and a passion for community service, Austin Reed is a valuable asset to our healthcare team.
