Dr. Camille Calderwood
Urogynecologist
Dr. Calderwood is a urogynecologist, specializing in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. She was born in Peru and lived in Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil before moving to Texas at age 16. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Spanish Literature with a minor in Biochemistry from The University of Texas at Arlington before earning her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.
She completed her obstetrics and gynecology internship and residency at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver. After practicing as an OB-GYN for eight years, Dr. Calderwood completed a three-year fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland.
Dr. Calderwood believes patients and providers are partners in care. She focuses on guiding, educating and empowering her patients while ensuring they feel heard, respected and validated. Her clinical interests include robotic and laparoscopic surgery for pelvic organ prolapse, urinary and fecal incontinence, postpartum pelvic floor injuries, menopausal health, nutrition and integrative medicine.
Volunteering overseas is one of Dr. Calderwood’s passions. She has participated in surgical mission trips to Tanzania and Zambia and hopes to return to Zambia in the future.
Outside of work, Dr. Calderwood enjoys spending time with her husband and son. She also enjoys gardening, photography and dancing Argentine Tango.
