Pulmonary Rehabilitation
At KCCMH, we offer one-on-one care with a trained Respiratory Therapist. Patients learn about their condition, discover ways to manage it, and build strength and endurance through tailored strength training and aerobic exercise. Sessions are held 2–3 times a week for 2 hours, with programs typically starting at 12 weeks. To bring this specialized care close to home, KCCMH is proud to partner with Meridian in offering Pulmonary Rehabilitation Services to our community.

When to Ask About Pulmonary Rehab
Pulmonary rehabilitation is recommended for people who have chronic breathing problems or lung conditions that make everyday activities harder. You may benefit if you:
- Have COPD, emphysema, or chronic bronchitis
- Have asthma that’s difficult to control
- Are recovering from COVID-19 or pneumonia
- Have pulmonary fibrosis or other restrictive lung disease
- Feel short of breath with normal activity (walking, climbing stairs, daily tasks)
- Are using oxygen or inhalers but still struggle with breathing
Talk to Your Doctor If:
- You feel like your breathing problems are getting worse
- You’ve had multiple lung infections or hospital visits in the past year
- You avoid activities because of shortness of breath or fatigue
- You want to improve stamina, strength, and quality of life
